Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Upplio ("we", "us", "Upplio") governing your access to and use of the Upplio website, applications, free tools, AI Career Copilot ("Upla") and paid plans (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of forming a binding contract. The Service is not directed to children.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that are inactive for extended periods, or where we are required to do so by law.
3. Plans, payments and fair use
Upplio offers a Free plan and one-time, time-bound paid plans (currently Interview Sprint ₹299 / 7 days and Premium ₹599 / 30 days). All paid plans are one-time purchases with no auto-renewal. Paid access expires automatically when the period ends. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise; GST invoices are available on request.
"Unlimited" usage is subject to fair-use limits intended to prevent abuse, scraping or commercial resale. We may rate-limit or pause accounts that exceed reasonable individual use.
4. Refunds and cancellation
Because paid plans are short-duration digital services delivered immediately on payment, our refund and cancellation terms are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have rights to, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy of others;
- use the Service to generate unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, harassing or discriminatory content;
- scrape, mirror, reverse-engineer, or resell Upplio output as a competing service;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls or account-based access;
- use the Service to impersonate another person or to misrepresent qualifications you do not hold.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of resumes, cover letters, answers and other materials you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Upplio a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate, secure and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it to train third-party AI models — see our AI Disclosure.
7. AI output
Upla and other AI features generate suggestions, scores and drafts. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI output before relying on it, submitting it to an employer, or making decisions based on it. Career Score and ATS Score are heuristic indicators, not guarantees of interview outcomes or job offers.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, templates, the Upplio and Upla names, and all related trademarks, are owned by Upplio or its licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no licence is granted by these Terms. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation.
9. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers (e.g. cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment processors, analytics). Your use of those services through Upplio is subject to their terms in addition to ours.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law Upplio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI output will achieve any specific result.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Upplio's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Upplio in that period, or (b) ₹1,000. Upplio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or job opportunities.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify Upplio against claims arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes will be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator seated in Bengaluru, India, conducted in English. Subject to the foregoing, courts in Bengaluru will have exclusive jurisdiction.
