Put Your Best Bullet in the Top Third

Recruiters scan top-to-bottom. Lead with your strongest evidence.

The top third of your resume gets 80% of the attention. Use it accordingly.

Do this today

  • Move your most impressive bullet to the first sub-point under your most recent role
  • Front-load it with the metric, not the verb ("$1.2M ARR" before "by launching...")
  • Demote weaker bullets to the bottom of each role
  • Cut anything older than 10 years unless it's a marquee credential

Recruiters won't make it to your second page. Make the first page count.
