When to Use One Page vs. Two
Page count is about value density, not vanity.
There's no universal rule. There is a working rule.
Do this today
- Under 5 years experience: one page
- 5–15 years: one to two pages — earn the second
- 15+ years: two pages is standard
- Academic, federal, or research roles: longer CVs are expected
Every line on page two must justify its existence. If it doesn't help you get the interview, cut it.
