Hit the Keyword Density Sweet Spot
Too few keywords and you fail the ATS. Too many and you fail the human.
Aim for natural keyword inclusion — about 6–10 distinct matches from the job description, repeated 1–2 times each.
Do this today
- Pull the top 10 nouns and verbs from the JD
- Work them into your summary, skills, and 2–3 bullets each
- Avoid "keyword stuffing" lists at the bottom — recruiters spot them
- Mirror the JD's exact phrasing where natural
Read your resume out loud. If a keyword sounds shoved in, it is. Rewrite it.
