Your First Resume When You Have Zero Experience

Freshers, this one's for you. Six sections that turn a blank page into interview calls.

"No experience" is a frame, not a fact. You have projects, coursework, internships, volunteering, and side hustles. Resume writing for freshers is about packaging.

The 6 sections every fresher resume needs

  • Headline with target role
  • Projects (lead with this, not education)
  • Education with relevant coursework
  • Technical & soft skills (tied to role)
  • Internships or volunteering with outcomes
  • Awards, certifications, or community work

The project section template

Project name • What it does • Stack • Outcome (users, performance, learning). One bullet per dimension. Repeat for 2–3 projects.

Upplio's resume builder has fresher-friendly templates that prioritize projects and impact over years of experience you don't have yet.
